The first step to ensure that our learning resource is inclusive is to view everyone as a learner. In a broad perspective, we as a group must ensure that we are not excluding any individual from the learning process and providing all the needed material to be successful. To expand, creating a learning resource must include relevant information, material, resources, articles, images and explanations in order for a learner to learn while having no previous knowledge on the subject. There will be no skill-level needed to partake in our learning resource, any learner at any level can participate.
Another way that our group is minimizing barriers for learners is providing opportunities for interaction with the material. As discussed in our blueprint, the assessment will comprise of formative and summative assessments for evaluation. Each learner will be able to go through our learning resource, and by the end they will be asked to identify certain stages with different scenarios. Of course, learners will be able to ask any type of questions on the material prior to assessment. Our summative assessment also allows for our learners to work collaboratively. At the end of the group project, all learners will have equal opportunity to assess their peers and assign roles to each group member.
One way to promote inclusion for our learners is the encouragement to share their current ideas, strong points, or struggles with the material. Our group will encourage learners to share their perspectives with everyone else through blogs and respond to others by stimulating further discussion on the subject matter. Also, we would encourage all learners to have 1-on-1 meetings with any member of the group to raise any concerns, questions, or recommendations.
With that being said, the main idea to consider is that our group is committed to ensuring that all participants have equal opportunity to be successful in learning our material. Everything mentioned above is all ways of doing so, but our group will take a progressive approach in always making sure all needs are met.
